Every industry has its own terminology, which can sometimes be confusing to the layman. Here are brief explanations of some Jewelry manufacturing terms we use in our site:

Millgrain Band - This is a band that has a bead-like appearance.
Bevelled Edge Band - In this band, the edge of the ring is slanted to a 45-degree angle, giving it an elegant slant finish.
Two-Tone – Yellow and White Gold band assembled into one.
Flat Cut - Usually referred to as a “pipe cut” band.
Tiffany - This style is quite popular and consists of a dome-like shape.
Comfort Fit - All of our rings are made comfort fit, (unless otherwise specified). This refers to the inside of the ring, and generally gives the wearer greater comfort.
High Polished Band - Has a shiny finish.
Sandblast – Has a frosted looking Finish.

 Ring Sizing

Our experts suggest that visiting a local jewelry store (or even two to be sure!) and getting your finger sized is the optimal solution. All other ring-sizing devices are inaccurate and may lead to inexact results!

If Dimarco Creations unintentionally sized a ring incorrectly, we will resize or replace that ring free of charge. If the ring size information was given incorrectly, Dimarco Creations will still do its best to resize at no extra charge.

The delay for returning rings for resizing is a maximum of 30 days after delivery.

When returning rings for resizing, please return to our Canadian address. Shipping charges are not refundable.

Sizes are expressed in American Ring Sizes. The ideal size will fit comfortably and be tight enough to prevent the ring from accidentally falling off. Before ordering make sure that the ring size is correct. Visit a local jeweler to determine your correct ring size. Finger size changes with temperature and time of day. The best time to measure accurately is midday.

 Diamond Information

There are different ways to evaluate a diamond. The 4 C’s is an international guideline used to classify diamonds: They are cut, clarity, color and carat.

Cut refers to the angle and proportions of a diamond. Cut also reflects the way a raw diamond is cut into a shiny, clear one to the naked eye. It is usually cut with 58 facets.

An ideal cut will allow the maximum amount of light to enter and reflect the diamond producing the sparkle that you see. There are different diamond shapes to choose from, round being the most common. Other shapes include heart, pear, marquise, emerald, oval, radiant and princess cut.

Clarity determines the ‘clearness’ of a stone. It ranges from flawless (F-a perfect diamond) to imperfect (I-less perfect).

The ruler for clarity is as follows:
F IFS1 VVS2 VS1 VS2 SI1 SI2 SI3 I1 I2 I3

There are 100 points in one carat. The larger the diamond, the more costly it is due to its size.
For example, a ½ carat diamond is equivalent to a 50 pts diamond. Therefore .50 ct = 50 pts.

Diamond color ranges from D, which represents colorless, all the way to Z. The scale is as follows:

• D-E-F colorless
• G-H-I-J near colorless
• K-L-M faint yellow
• N-Z very light yellow

Essentially, the price of a diamond depends on the color, clarity, cut and carat of the diamond. The whiter the color, the clearer and less imperfections a diamond has, the larger the carat and the more atypical the cut are all crucial factors affecting the price of a diamond.

 Warranty Information

Dimarco Creations offers a lifetime warranty, which includes a refinishing policy. All jewelry purchased from Dimarco Creations may be returned at any time for a free polishing or refurbishing. Dimarco Creations will take the responsibility of repairing or replacing jewelry that has noticeable defects or dents that can occur with normal wear. Should a gemstone happen to pop out of the setting, we will reset that same stone at no extra cost.

FREE SHIPPING takes between 2-7 working days from the order date. For European orders, a $30 fee will be added. For other international destinations, additional charges will apply according to destination. If shipping is a problem to some international destinations, Dimarco Creations can refuse to ship the merchandise and will notify the customer immediately. Your order confirmation will be sent directly to you via e-mail (by phone or fax if no e-mail address is provided). Please double check that the ship to address given is correct, otherwise a $15.00 charge will be applied should we have to re-send the merchandise. Please contact us if you do not receive your order confirmation within 24 hours after placing your order.

Dimarco Creations uses an overnight courier service when shipping Canadian/US orders. Please make sure that before you sign for your package, that you ensure that it is not damaged in any way. Dimarco Creations is not responsible for theft or loss of merchandise once you have signed for it.

 Returns Information

Dimarco Creations is certain that your purchase from us will surpass your expectations. However, if you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you may return the item for either a resizing, exchange or refund within 30 days of purchase date. All products being returned must have a return authorization number before being sent back in order to avoid any delays. Please use our Canadian address for all returns. Customers will pay for return shipping costs, except in the event that Dimarco Creations incurred the error and, therefore, return shipping charges will be reimbursed.

Customers can choose to insure their return package. We recommend that all returns be insured. Dimarco Creations will not be responsible for any lost shipments. No written reference to jewelry should be indicated on the package.

A restocking fee of 35% (min. $35.00) of the purchase price will apply with all refunds. The shipping charges will not be refunded. The product must be unworn and in the original packaging. Refunds will be issued after the merchandise is returned and inspected by Dimarco Creations.

Dimarco Creations will replace or repair any ring, which presents bending, dents or noticeable deformation that might occur with normal wear. Please refer to our warranty for full details
